Default Installed 8528A023; lost AUX

Hi

I recently purchased the Audio/Video Upgrade Harness (8528a023), and had my dealer install it today. This was their first time installing it and it took them a long time. As far as I could tell the harness should connect to D-06 and D-16 on the RES and D-123 under the left seat. However, the RCA jacks on the RES also connect to D-16. The result of this is that I now have communication between MMCS and RES, but have lost my AUX input. "Video Input" is now N/A on the connections screen of the MMCS.

How can I reenable AUX together with the harness?

I also already had a connector plugged into D-123. I think it is some variant of the "loopback" connector that is used to enable the RCA inputs on the center console for models that have those. My connector however, had some "loops" and some cables that disappears under the seat. No idea where they go.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Morgan

Dont worry, with RES installed, Rear Display button is showed instead AUX button. Another detail, AUX mode and Rear display mode shares same circuit, so if you play both sources simultaneously, interference occurs.

OK, maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post.

My 2008 Outlander does not have the "regular" AUX connectors at the back of the center console. Instead it has the RES, and the RES has an RCA AUX input (red, white, yellow) that can be used to play e.g. a Media player on the RES screen. The RCA connectors on the RES are connected to D-16, but so is the harness (8528A023). The result is that the RCA AUX connectors on the RES are now disconnected. My question is; can I in some way restore the functionality and again be able to use the RES AUX inputs to play external devices through the RES?

Also, the MMCS previously showed an AUX button, but when I selected it all i heard was silence. I think this is because the RCA AUX connectors in the center console are not connected. The AUX button in MMCS has since been replaced with the Read Display button. The connector under the left seat (D-123) was already connected in my car. The connector looked like a hybrid of the loopback connector used to connect MMCS and the center console AUX input. That cable is now also disconnected since the harness uses D-123. Anyone know what the cable that was previously connected to the D-123 connector does?

Thanks.

By the way, does anyone have the pin out assignements for the three connectors on the RES? In my current setup, with the harness installed, there is still one connector that is not used.
