Is there anything I need to know when install a new battery onto an 2005 Outlander, I understand I have to disconnect the neg side first, then replace the Pos side first when installing.
The hand book mention about the gear shifting may change at first, want is meant by that?
Thanks
Brian

The transmission adapts to your driving style. So basically if you have a lead foot, it upshifts at a higher rpm.
So when you disconnect your battery, you reset that saved profile and it has to re-learns your driving habits.
So basically if you feel it's not as peppy as it used to be after a battery change, just give it a few days and drive as you usually do and it will re-learn!

Installed new battery okay, never noticed any change in the gear shifting, maybe because I'm not a fast drive.
The radio preset never lost it's memory, the only thing I noticed was the trip meter went back to zero, no big deal.
Thanks again.
