Default Installing a new hdd

I have a read error on my hdd and think it's done for.If I buy a new hdd what will I need to do to restore back ie sat nav etc? Thanks in advance 🖒

here you will find that you cannot put in any HDD, only some types will work. For sure the Toshiba GAC 30 or 40Gb series function, but you have to look for em, as they are not in production anymore. Then you need to find an image to put on it, with maps and such.

I am trying to solve this problem for over a month now, but no luck so far, few replies on this forum. One was offering help but doesn't reply anymore. So now I am thinking about replacing the whole unit with this one: Peugeot 4007 radio navigatie carkit 8 inch quadcore wifi android 5.1.1 16GB dab+ - www.caraudioexpert.nl
