Angry Issues with 2022 Mitsu Outlander Gas Cover

I am still trying to make an appeal to Mitsubishi Motors regarding my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander gas cover issue that got stuck and won't open to allow me to put gas on the vehicle. It was very cold the morning of January 25, 2022 (-9F early morning and was 14F when I tried to add gas in the evening). I stop by FastTrack Gas Station to fill up my gas tank, but the gas door won't fully open. It would only open up about a quarter of an inch out but will not open to allow me to put gas on its empty gas tank.

I called Mitsubishi Connect to see if they can help open it for me, they said they can only open the door locks but not my gas cover. I spent almost half hour doing every reasonable thing to pry it open, but something is holding-up the gas door. I never had this issue for this particular vehicle before of which I had been driving it for almost 2 months. The local dealership thinks the solenoid plunger froze up.

I had no other choice but to pry the gas door open with a screwdriver since I had an empty gas tank. Mitsubishi says I have to pay for the damaged door because I used a screwdriver to pry the gas door open. If you were in my case, what would you do? I was 90 miles away from home at 8:45PM with outside temperatures of 14F and Mitsubishi Connect says there's nothing they can do to help me with that issue! I needed to get back home, and I tried everything reasonable to open it.

Mitsubishi, the gas cover solenoid plunger got stuck because it was too cold that day (-9F in the morning). This is a design flaw on your vehicle design and please don't blame the driver. This is my 3rd Outlander in the past 6 years! I had a 2018, 2020, and now 2022. For the most part I was happy with this vehicle, but this is the first time that I had to deal with Mitsubishi to address an issue. I think Mitsubishi Corporate are arrogant and would not accept that there is a flaw on the design of this new car.

Other issues with this 2022 Outlander are that it occasionally trips the car alarm when opening the back door using foot-gestures, frequent issues with "Forward Driving Aids Temporarily Disabled even when my front windshield is clean, and the Bluetooth volume for my GPS and handsfree phone is too low and I have to raise the volume up to hear it. This volume issue has always been an issue with all three Outlanders I owned in the last 6 years.
