Depends on how large the LED lamp is and how often you tow. If you are mostly an easy driver and don't beat on the trans or tow frequently, and the lamps don't block TOO mush air flow you should be OK. It will all come down to using your best judgement, but if you post up some pics of the lamp just set into the opening it would be best.

Well, interfering with the air flow to the transmission is not wise. It's best to keep the tranny as cool as possible. If you end up installing them in the vents, be sure to remove them if you have tranny problems!
