Default Legal rights about dvd in motion

I want to ask all of you if anybody knows if it is illegal to watch dvd/tv/videos while you are on the move.If anybody know answer to all of us.

I am pretty sure that MITSU has a back key ,to remove the restriction without install anything.

The driver watching it is stupid.

Having the hack and playing a DVD while driving is not stupid if it keeps my wife occupied on a 15 hour road trip.

Default let me choose

Want i want to say is that MITSU must give the choice to me and my front passenger to select what to do.
Must be a warning when the program starts and thats all.

Do we have a LAWYER in our forum to explain what we must do.

The other way is 100000000000 emails to MITSU every day.

I don't know for sure, but everything I have heard points to it being illegal because it is a serious distraction to the driver.

Depends where you live.

In Ohio, you cannot have a screen showing video within view from the driver’s seat. This would include the passenger having a portable DVD player on their lap. (But the officer I asked says they don't really enforce the portable DVD player)

Having a DVD player going within your peripheral visions vs. 4 kids screaming and your wife bugging you....hmmm seems like a easy one. Just don't watch it and become distracted and wreck.

It is illegal to have the dvd in motion in Hong Kong. But who cares? The law does not say anything about modifying the OEM equipment, but the aftermarket equipment. Putting aftermaket DVD player is like commiting suicide.
So, if you don't know the law, don't use any aftermarket DVD players on Outlander, but please, modify the OE Navi System so even if it breaks the law by playing DVD while driving, at least officers cannot deny it as an Original Equipment.

Here it is, from japanparts.com
http://japanparts.com/db/partslist.p...ker=245&volkey

Anyway, don't watch the DVD when you are driving. Then it will minimize the chance of having accidents and being pulled over by cops due to careless driving.
