Hi Friends I have a outlander 2010 2.4 my problem is that some time ago the fuel gauge stopped working and reads empty and the display will not now show km per litre I have also noticed that when I take off the fuel cap the tank is under pressure, dont know if that is ok but I would have thought that the evac system would have depleted it, Thanks for any help.

The tank pressure release is normal, heck so is the tank gauge not working unfortunately it's pretty common on chrysler/mitsubishi rigs. You can replace the sending unit in the tank or simply reset the mileage after each fill.

Thanks Lobuc for your reply, unfortunately its not the sender unit at fault, and the pressure in the tank seems rather high, I realize I can use the trip miles but I dont like the fact that Im carrying a tank full of gas around when I dont do much milage. Les
