Default Loose Screws

Now that I got your attention . . .

The screws that hold the sun visor in my 2011 Outlander ES keep falling out, and one is missing. Do you know what kind of screw they are, and where I can get them? Lowes didn't have a match. Any tips for how to keep them from falling out in the future?

Well, I think I have the answer to my own question. It seems to be an M5 screw, 1/2 inch, phillips with an oval head and pointy tip. Not easy to find. The guy at Ace Hardware had an M5, though not quite an exact match, which works for now. He recommended using a little glue or Loctite.

The service manual does seem to show a 5x12 self tapping screw. When the hole for a self tapping screw enlarges from use, ive found the only real option to keep the screw from coming out is to use the next larger size.
