BGN (BoldlyGoingNowhere)- thanks for help, I'll try looking but if you have link, it will be much appreciated.

Ant- haven't had the ipod installed yet. I needed a work order plus by the time I made the plunge, the dealership was closing. I'm hoping to get it done on monday so I'll let you know how it is. I've seen pictures where the cradle unit is attached on the right side of the shift column area (i think that's what it's called). Theytold me that I could have the aux plug installed by the radio so that there would be no external wire hanging out of the car. I would just have to plug the ipod into the aux plug and presto! Or I could have the plug in thefront console or in the center armrest. Hopefully it's not just a wire hanging out.....

I paid about the same from my dealer, with a little haggle of course because the parts guy quoted something like 120$, so I told them I could easily get a set from eBay for 90$, so they beat the price.

I have to warn buyers from that site you linked that they still have to pay the 4$ "handling fee", and that free shipping is for the continental US only. I don't really know what "handling fee" fee is, but it's seems 4$ is too much money to pay to "handle" the set of mudguards from the parts dept to the FedEx guy. So you don't actually only pay for the advertised price but also the added "handling fee". Other out-of-continent states get to pay extra $$$ for shipping.

Heres the link itself http://mitsuaccessories.com/ Ill let you in on a little oldtimers seceret. If you click the bold differently colored words in a sentence they take you to the link so that some of the longer ones dont take up the whole page LIKE THIS cool huh

rcpax- Its great if you want to haggle with the dealer heck I got my trailer hitch, wiring and flaps after the purchase for $371 installed inc tax, keep in mind that after you drive the car off the lot its a $600 investment. Some people would rather not haggle and want to just buy the crap and be done with it.

As far as the $4 handling fee, where I live its still less than the taxes would have been had I purchased locally. Whenever I make any purchase especially ebay I dont separate the shipping from the cost when considering the value it counts as one which I compare to having to include taxes if I purchase locally. If you have ever sold something on ebay you would know that you pay less ebayfees for shipping charges hence the 99c item and $20 shipping. If its considerably less than getting it elsewhere I dont get bent over high shipping costs, what do I care as long as I get my cheap crap.

It's just a "caveat emptor". I always try to buy stuff where I get the best deal. 100$ mudguards from the dealer and 6 15$ oil change special tickets saves me more $ than if I would have bought it somewhere else. I think no one will disagree about buying cheap, but certainly I don't buy crap, because if it's crap, I won't buy it.

I wish I could get mudguards from the dealer for $100 but they wanted $250 and the parts department in so cali do not haggle (unless u have a buddy who works for the dealer, then it's cost). And I wished there were $15 oil change specials here too.

BGN- the prices on that site you gave me is pretty reasonable as long as they are OEM parts. It looks like it's actually from a dealership in the eastcoast. Free shipping and a $4 handling with out tax, I think I may taking another "plunge" on some accessories now. [:'(]

What do you think about the cargo cover for $113? Can you do without one? Think the window reflectors and hood protector would change the overall good look of the outie? I can always lower it!! but again, it's for the wife............[>:]

thanks again......mo'money mo'money when u have no'money

My thoughts on the cargo cover: well, it's nice to have, but it really doesn't serve any purpose other than concealing your cargo space, which, IMO, I can pretty much live without it. Secondly, I read somewhere that there is actually a "dedicated in-floor storage" for this, which is good news then. Imagine having to sit extra persons in your third row and you have the cover bar blocking the way, and no space to store it in the vehicle, that'd be a hassle. But I haven't really confirmed where this "dedicated in-floor storage" for the tonneau cover would be. Perhaps our Canadian and UK friends can shed some light on this. It's a "nice to have" if you got 113$ to spare.

For the deflectors (Sunroof and windows) I am actually still waiting for third party solutions to this. I really like the "clip on" window deflectors that doesn't need adhesives, but none available yet (AFAIK) for the 07 Outlander, maybe in a few months more. Though this would have been the best time to buy it since it's gonna be summer soon and you can really let the windows down and enjoy sunshine before it's fall and winter again.

I agree with rcpax as far as the usefulness of the cover. As for in car storage, I have yet to find a place so for now it sits in the garage. With the third row seat enabled it does serve as a useful garrote, however.

I thought about it then I remembered its not any different than my miniban and theres no cover there, the windows are black so you couldnt really see anything just passing by. I did have a Festiva that I did end up getting it put on, I repaired copiers and kept all my crap back there. It also made the car look less of a mess.

I was planning on trying the window deflectors to see if it cut down on the booming from the wind turbulence, wanna try it out for me?
