mitsubishi multi communication system 2008 outlander
I've got a 2008 mitsubishi outlander with the rockford fosgate multi communication system, The radio reception sucks. Is there anyway to just replace repair the radio part of this system ?
Another thing: there is an amplifier installed under the roof where radio antenna is. So, I heard that this amplifier is very bad one, at least in Outlander III. I have not tried it myself (not yet!) but people say that if you remove (or bypass) that amplifier the reception may get better, i.e try to connect antenna cable directly to antenna bypassing the amplifier circuit. Disconnect the power cable for the amplifier (preferably from the side of the radio) for a sake of safety.
I did see one mention of a amplifier under the headliner in the back of the vehicle but have been unable to verify if there is such a thing and looking under the headliner where the antenna is located I was unable see anything other than the wires going to the antenna, So I am hesitant to remove the headliner as it is a very involved job. Can you verify that there is a amplifier up in there ? Thanks
