Haven't noticed any - Does every affected vehicle's owner automatically receive a recall notice? Haven't gotten a single one for my '13 to date since buying it last August.

If it is a safety recall, you will get a notice in the mail if you are on file with Mitsubishi (2nd hand sales or used car sales from Non-Mitsubishi dealers most likely don't update that info). Personally I have gotten one notice for the Brake Pedal Position switch to be replaced, but there are many other bulletins out there. I live in SoCal and keep it garaged 90% of the time, so as the car is only rained on twice a year, doubt there would be any rusting problem. Cheers

States provide registration data to car manufacturers for recall notices. You don't have to be "on file with Mitsubishi".

Excellent point, assuming they get good data back from notoriously cranky dmv workers and also that you are not out of the country

if the VIN is falling under this recall notice then the dealers are supposed to perform the fix no matter who brings the vehicle to the shop. luckily my VIN is not eligible for this recall.
