Hello,

I'm having the same trouble, MMCS saying 'difficult to read hard disk, etc', then reboot. Can not access any functions via the screen. Already disconnected the battery for 30min, but nothing improved. Did not take the hard disk out yet.

So, does anyone have a 'simple' solution for this? Because obviously I am not going to pay 4650 euro for a new system.

By the way, I am living in the Netherlands, and own a Peugeot 4007, built in 2008. The code on the front of the MMCS unit says P-01. Did not update maps or gracenote database ever, maps are from 2006.

If your HDD died just taking it out won't really help...
Plus, you cannot use just any HDD, it should be Toshiba GAC series.

"Simple" solution is to buy a ready HDD already having new maps, Gracenote etc.

And where could I get those?

I was thinking about taking the hard disk out and give to an expert on hard disks and navigation systems/car audio. Hoping he can either repair it or find a replacement.

Default Problem with HDD clone

Hi, I solve this problem: My friend has E-03 with a dead HDD. I made a clone on the new HDD from my E-02, but the problem continues. Navi still shows: Insert program disc.
Can you please advise?
Thanks

I have the opportunity to buy a suitable hard disk (40GB GAC), now I need an image to put on it. Never done something like that before, so could use some pointers for that too. Can anybody help?
