Default MMCS Speaker test

Those of you that have the MMCS/RF system-- If you hold SET + NAVI to get into the service menu, and do the speaker check, where you can test the Front Tweeters, Front and Rear Speakers, and SubWoofer independently--what kind of results do you get--or what do you hear?

Front Tweeters--High Frequency Tones only? Intermittent?
Front and Rear Speakers-- High and Low Frequency Tones? Alternating?-should there be only Low tones for the Front Door as the Front door speakers do not have integrated tweeters? Should the Rear speakers with integrated tweeters have both High and Low?
SubWoofer--Low Frequency Tones only? Intermittent?

Any input appreciated!

I think it only tests that the speakers are working or not. So it's either with tone, or no tone. I remember it's all continuous tone, nothing intermittent.

For the front and rear doors, is it alternating High/Low ? do the Front and Rear sound the same?

From the speaker test it appears that the rear doors do not have an integrated tweeter. For the front doors I get high and low intermittent while for the rear doors I only get low intermittent.

Thanks--that's what mine do--and I thought it kind of odd---you would think the integrated tweeter speakers for the rear door would test with alt High/low--and the front lower door would be Low only with high only for the standalone tweeters at the front of the windows.

Was there a noticeable difference in volume? Did the back speaker tones seem much lower?

After some searching. jangledang, i found this---posted by you:

" Default RE: 9 speakers or 7 ???
brian 360 is right. I was just as confused as you were when I could only see 7 speakers. If you do the speaker test in the calibration menu(I think this is navi+set), the rear speakers will play a mid-range tone with intermittent tweeter tones mixed in. "

So were they working at the time--is there something going on with the MMCS speaker test or the DSP/crossover circuitry in the amplifier? Or do the rear tweeters just fry really easy?

I guess i misspoke in that previous post. There are only nine speakers in the mitsu so i dont think that there are burned out tweeters in the rear doors. For my car, the front doors sound a little lower than the rears, but it could just be relative to your position in the car.
