Default Momently fuel comsuption??

When I start my 08 LS outlander, the Avg fuel comsuption indicator usually will jump to b/w 50l/100kms--80l/100kms(depend the temperature). is it normal? And when I put the car in "park"(ignition switch in ON, or ACC position ), or stop in front of red light, the momently fuel comsuption indicator will jump all the way up to top(full bar). is this happen to everyone or just me?

Default completely normal

When you first start your car, you are burning gas but going 0 kms therefore your fuel consumption per kilometer is infinite=very high. Same thing when you are stopped. fuel is burning at idle but you are not moving. You could conceivably burn an entire tank of gas and not move an inch. Infinite fuel consumption

consumption/distance = 1liter(for example)/ 0kms = infinity
