Most Mileage on an Outlander
What is the maximum miles you can get out of a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander XLS, what is the most amount of mileage you have ever seen on a Mitsubishi and what year, model and mileage was it?

ccernst has a very well maintained XLS to my understanding and I'm pretty sure has more miles on his vehicle.

195k miles on my 07 ls....still runs very strong. About to do 2nd timing belt and spark plugs. This summer I'll also replace my original brake rotors....chew on that!
I also had a '93 base eclipse...manual with 1.8L. Bought it in '99 with 100k on it....retired it in '05 with 240k on it.

2005 Mitsubishi Outlander LS FWD 2.4L engine knock at 266,052 km
My 2005 Mitsubishi Outlander LS FWD 2.4L engine knocked at 266,052 km
After 3 days with all treatments at the auto service center (Canadian Tire). They gave up and advised me to replace a rebuilt engine or a used engine with a limited warranty
How did I treat my baby?
- Always, Castrol 5W-30 oil changes every 5,000 km and started from the beginning
- Castrol 5W-30 GTX High Mileage Motor Oil started at 125,000 km
- Filled gas tank with 89-octane mid-grade at always
- Replaced engine air filter every 20,000 km
- Replaced PCV valve every 55,000 Km
- 1 time replaced OEM Iridium spark plug NGK LZFR6AI at 170,000 Km
- Replaced thermostat once
*** Never replace the timing belt. But I don't think this is a root cause ***
I let it go from there by trade-in and get a new 2016 Outlander. Heartbreaking!

2008 xls
150k miles on my 2008 XLS and still going (bought it new). Replaced both rear wheel bearings around 120k. Also replaced the starter twice. Generally follow manufacturers maintenance requirements.

I have Outlander 4WD 2009 XLS V6 3.0L with 220,000 KM
Still running great, acceleration very good,
Good gas consumption i get on highway from 8.2 to 8.7 city drive average 10 to 14 L/km
i put regular 87 Esso
Oil Mobile1 5w-20 every 8,000 km
Transmission fluid regularly i check every couple of months if it's not pink and going darker. usually every 2 years or every 50,000 km
Spark plugs NKG Laser Iridium it's my second change should be every 168,000 KM - didn't have too but i get some hesitation when going from a stop sign.
Timing belt changed at 189,000
Both front control arms replaced at 210,000 km
Disk rotors and brakes at 190,000 km
Ball bearings for front wheels
Great car, good handling in Canadian winter with all season tires installed.
I spray underneath the car every year with either rust converter or at Mr.lube. i don't have rust that much. normal kind. WD-40 is your friend when comes to bolts or exposed metal parts under the hood.
The only thing i don''t like the the third seat, didn't want it better to put the spare tire or more storage area.
