Mudguard install
So I finally had time today to install the mudguards my wife got me for my Bday...what can I say, I'm a guy!
She bought them at the dealership, which was fine since they had them in stock.
Opened box of goodies.
Tools needed (yes that's masking tape)
I did the front first. The first step was to remove the top two clips.
Then peel the panel back and insert the grommet clips over the fender (line up with the existing holes)
Better shot of the grommet in place.
I know, masking tape on a car is a no-no, but I followed instructions. If you don't do this the grommets will move out of place when you go to tighten them.
Oh, and I somehow got a nice shot of my sexy legs!
Then on the underside of the fender you place a different screw grommet (white thing)
I didn't take a picture of this, but there is adhesive on the inside of the mudguard that you remove before placing over the fender.
I started tightening the underside first to hold it in place.
I then did the two on the top.
There she is, one down four more to go!
Different angle.
All set, ready to stop dirt and rocks from messing up a clean car!
Hope that helps those that want to do this. Took me about an hour or so, but time flew by since I had the Stones cranking on the stereo!

RE: Mudguard install
I questioned how the grommets aligned in the fenderwell (in your 4th, 5th and 6th pictures) when i installed mine as well. The instructions weren't very good. I believe asHandypal mentioned the big knobbed part goes on the backside of the fenderwell. I did it that way thinking the force applied by the screw has less chance of pulling that larger part thru the hole if its behind the fenderwell (especially if your drive thru big puddles that push back on the guards). I may be wrong, but only time will tell. Looks good tho.

RE: Mudguard install
Just had the dealer install some generic Mitsu mudguards (or flaps?) but still suffered from the sandblasting effect on the rear part of the rocker panels and some near the middle. Finally bought running boards ($200) to help protect the lower side of the body...

RE: Mudguard install
I installed the OEM Mudguards also, about3 weeks ago. They help with the flying debris for the most part (NO MORE ROCKS!)... but the wider tires i put on still sling all the "Tire Wet" onto the sides of my car! ARRRrrGGhhh
