Default Nav Update

The planned update for the navigation software is this September. Update discs will be available through your dealership for about $200 each. I don't know if it is just a Navteq update or also a firmware update - hope its firmware as well as I would like to see some increased functionality especially around POI searches, etc.

Is this 200$ and I get a cd? Or do they run the update and let me go on my way? If that is the way then how does your car never loose the info if you change your battery, unhook it or the car dies?

I'd love to see if that disc can be copied. So...if this disc takes care of the updates then what's the hole for?
