This is a 2007 outlander xls awd. Passenger rear.

 

Here is a picture of it off the car. Went to autozone and advance auto and they were clueless. They were my only options on Sunday. The parts diagrams online weren't showing this little piece

 

Looks like a sway bar end link.

Nevermind, i see your sway bar, but it's not at the end of it.

It's just a suspension link.

 

Could this be for the head lights. Self leveling sensor? Do the hid set ups have this feature.

 

Makes sense when you have all 7 passengers in a car fully loaded. The rear suspension is really soft in the outlander.

I think if you take off that black and white poteniometer in your picture, it might have a mitsubishi part number on. You can then find the associated components you need from that.
