Default New 2010 Outlander Stalling at stop sign

I just bought a new 2010 Outlander (250 km on it). The car stalled at a stop sign while coming back from the dealer. Then two days after, again, while slowing down and turning at low speed.

It seems like the idle is going to low (below 500 rpm) when the transmission "idle neutral logic" kicks in and stall the engine. In fact mitsubishi is clamming some gas saving with this new gizmo, for sure if the engine stall you will save some gas.

Went to the dealer, no code in the computer, they have no clue. It looks like if the computer can not maintain the rpm

I saw a similar post on that a year ago, but I was wondering if the dealer or mitsubishi found a solution.

I am quite feed up with this car and about to give back the keys...

Someone having the same problem?

I would think the savings from engine stop at idle would be tiny at best for the short time it would work. It only adds another thing to go wrong..which obviously has happened.

Idle control valve would be the first component to investigate in my opinion.

AFAIK there is no such thing as idle valve if drive-by-wire throttle used.

I'd check the air filter box. It could be opened.

what ever the case may be, it doesnt sound right, and it should be fixed. I am sorry ur having trouble with the car at such an early stage, but it is a great car with a great track record.

Its probably a software issue with Idle Neutral Logic. Dealership needs to take a look at it. Couple of people were complaining about it at the beginning when Mitsubishi just introduced idle neutral logic but from what I understand software was modified and they took care of it.
