Default New K&N Air Filter Available for 2007+ Outlander 3.0/2.4

Hey!

I just received notification from K&N that a new filter for the 2007+3.0/2.4 Outlander is available in the US.

http://www.kandn.com/instructions/33-2392.pdf
(2008 Lancer, 2008 Citroen C-Crosser and 2007+ Peugeot 4007 included)

Just don't ask me how much it costs or how it performs.

I wish someone could compare the K&N with the WORKS air filter.

("Willowpeak" likes his WORKS air filter.)

Take care,
E

A $5.00 works just as well as a $129.00 air filter. I doubt you can gain 4-6 hp with just an air filter. Maybe it's suppose to be a cold air intake.

Not sure.. about a 4-6hp gain on the filter. Why dont you call up Works and dyno it. ahahah and make a point about it. I don't think Works filter will gain 4-6hp.. But the WORKS filter is very sturdy and heavy on material in my option.

I think you might not have enough experience in performance upgrades.
I've seen that kind of HP increase with motorcycles.

Just think about it...
A 5hp gain isonly 2.5%, why wouldn't that be possible at 6000 rpm?

And the quality will not be the same if you want to compare with a cheap air filter.
Buyyour "$5.00 air filter" and we'll see ifthat cheap filterlasts as long in inclement weather or
how well your engine is protected over time.

Dyno testing of racing technology shows that a better induction will give you more horsepower.
WORKS races the new EVO X, they should know their stuff...

Take care,
E
