Default oil change blues

Hi everyone. I have a 2007 Outlander LS that I tried to change the oil and filter on for the first time after it's initial Mitsubishi oil change service. When I removed the drain plug there was not a copper gasket as mentioned in other posts. I bought a copper gasket size M14 and cranked the heck out of it but ....still have a drip. This is the first of many vehicles I've owned that had a drain plug that leaked!!! [:@] I know this is a little thing but I'm getting tired of oil drips on the floor. Thanks.

It might require a plastic crush washer rather than a copper washer. Call your local dealer ask to speak to one of the techs, they should inform you.

There is suppose to be a metal crush washer. I tried to reuse the original one on my first oil change and it driped. I did an emergency run to the auto part store and bought a standard I guess rubber washer or what ever they make them out of. I put that in and the leak stopped. But on my next oil change I had bought a few crush washers from the dealer and change them every time I do an oil change.
