outlander 09 dash fuse box fuse 8
Hi all have a outlander 09 2.4L
Battery drain overniht. did battery drain test and in dash fuse box fuse number 7 and number 8 draw my battery. fuse 7 is my radio I unplugged and took out my radio draw drop but still have on it so I continue to pull out fuses one by one and at the fuse 8 there is a draw. looked in the manual for the fuse 8 it says control unit relay. I dont know whats is that and where is it?
somebody knows whats is it and would help me pls ???

it was one of the relay brooken in the emgine compatriment fuse box. Check the relays in the fuse box near the engine under the hood.

Before checking the relays, try to remember if you've done any mods/tweaks/upgrades to your car which is connected to a constant +12V (not the one which is cut off by the ignition key).
What I figured out after hours of testing with different fuses, modules, relays and switches, is that the ETACS detects any unusual (not OE) current draw and will not 'go to sleep' after a few minutes, as it should.
In my case, I mounted a radar detector above the mirror and connected it to the constant +12V in the box of the dome light.
As my detector is a dual powered model (also has a built in rechargeable battery) even when it was off, its battery was charging and the ETACS kept the system on.
20-30 seconds after I plugged out the detector the ETACS went to sleep and the current drain disappeared.
Then I connected the detector to the +12V of the sunroof, which is cut off by the ignition key and no problems since...
