Default outlander 2005 partnumber required

Hi,

I own outlander 2005 GLS,
Now the 4WD assembly got stuck because not using oil in it(as per the mechanic). It has only done 95000 and I had done a full service 0f 80000 from the authorised workshop.

Now, Due to dry run, one of the pinion bearings on the shaft inside the 4WD assembly is damaged. the workshop mechanic cant find the part in the market. Mitsubishi service center cant find the part number from their database, even though I took the part to them.

Can somebody help me sending the partnumbers of the parts inside the 4WD assembly?

I can provide the dimensions of the part:
outer diameter of the pinion is : 6.7cm, inner diameter is 3.8cm.
width of the pinion set is 1.7cm

It is a bearing on the front side of the shaft(facing the Gearbox).
It is physically almost like the one in the following link:, but the mechanic is saying this is not the spare because the one on the link is for the axle.

Timken Rear, Inner Pinion Bearing

Requesting your kind help..

Has the bearing and race been removed? If so, a replacement can be found using the numbers on the old ones. Mitsu does not make their own bearings, as they are bought from an outside supplier.

Are you talking about the front differential pinion, or the transfer case output shaft?

Anyway, the bearing numbers can be interchanged to any manufacturers' part numbers. I used to do this all the toime when I was in the car parts business.

Dear milliesdad,

Thank you very much for the reply.
I contacted the mechanic with your question.

He told me the pinion is on the transfer case output shaft. He need both the front pinion and the rear pinion. Since I am a stupid when it comes to automobile, I cant really understand the terms. He tried searching many shops for the spare with the removed pinion, but he could not find out.

the only things written on the pinion bearing is like the belowI am sorry for not using the exact terms)

outer ring: R38-1
inner ring: R38-10

Dear Milliesdad,

since the bearing was not available locally, I purchased it online from RockAuto Auto Parts

The purchased partnumbers are shown in the following link.
2005 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER XLS Output Shaft Bearing

but unfortunately, this item does not fit in my vehicle.

could you please provide me which part I can buy?

The actual bearing are:
Big one: NSK R38-10
Small one: NSK R30-50g
