Default Outlander 2007 Front Struts and Springs

I have 2007 Outlander with 78k miles on it. The front (driver side) sprig rusted and snapped - so I have to replace the spring and struts. I believe Mitsubishi has extended warranty on the springs, did anyone else encounter this issue and were successful in getting reimbursed?

Thanks!

there was a recall on this for some models. you should write down your VIN number and call the dealership.

I have an '07 and ran into the same problem last spring. I called up the local Mitsubishi dealer, gave them the VIN, and got both front springs replaced free. As I recall, there was a mileage limit on warranty extension. (120k or 130k?)

I bought some KYB struts and had them swap them out when they did the job. Also bought KYB mounts and they were awful! The nylon bearings broke right away and the mounts ended up clanking around. I had to pull the struts and replace the mounts with factory Mitsubishis, and they've been fine since.
