Outlander 2007 grinding noise from front left
Hi all, just looking for some advice.
I recently purchased an 2007 Outlander, and I've noticed that over 50km/30mh there is this faint rustling/scratching sound from the front left of the car.
It isn't very loud, but certainly audible.
I also noticed that when parked on a very steep incline as I let my foot off the brakes (but not completely off), there is a loud screeching sound.
My guess is that the break pads need to be replaced, but would like a second opinion.
Thanks in advance!

The scratching sound is most likely a wear indicator of the brake pad. Simple enough job to pop that wheel off and view the pads (no need to remove them). You can then decide whether to replace just that side or both front pads. If pads are not worn you may be able to see what else may be your issue.
