Outlander 2013 AS&G (idle stop) no longer working
My second hand Outlander model III, 2013 (not PHEV, just gas, automatic) has AS&G, or auto stop & go, otherwise known as “idle stop” which will stop the engine while waiting for a traffic light. In quickly starts again when you release the brake.
After 4 days of happy use, however, it stopped working. The “A” circle symbol no longer appears on the display. I can still switch it off, but it will never be on. It is supposed to enable automatically after starting the engine, which it did for the first few days.
The user manual states many reasons why it won’t enable, such as heavy A/C use, engine temp too low, but all the right conditions are here and it still won’t enable again.
I hope anyone can help! (I searched the forum but there isn’t a single post that mentions AS&G).
