Outlander 2014 ZJ Rockford head unit swap to newer carplay version
Hi
I have a 2014 ZJ Outlander Aspire with the RF 'premium' system and have noticed the later model Outlander with RF head unit now comes with Apple Carplay.
Does anyone know if I sourced the newer version head unit from a wrecker or even bought new if it would be plug and play with the older RF unit in my car?

Having spoken to a few installers in Perth, it is not possible to simply swap the head unit with the newer RF unit that has CarPlay. Aftermarket units with CarPlay can be made to work with the RF amp and sub etc and a special reversing camera interface is also required to make the stock camera work, but prohibitively expensive for my needs.
