Default Outlander Engine Water leak repair

Hi all, i have just joined this forum and would like to share with you my 2009 outlander 2L diesel water leak problem / repair, i bought the car Dec 2013 with 43k on the clock, with (so called) full Mitsubishi dealer service history (Livery Dole) Exeter UK. Noticed the water level was low, so toped it up, checked again a week later level ok, checked again after 300 mile trip, down about a pint, noticed a damp stain on the floor, on the L/H side, so removed plastic engine cover /air filter and plastic air intake pipe. I found that the 2 rubber heater hoses (near the fuel filter) had just been pushed onto the heater intake pipes without the hose clips being fitted from new, as the hold open clips were still in place and they were just rattling around on the hoses, so much for the PDI "Pre Delivery Inspection" and dealer services. Lucky it had not overheated and done the head gasget.
