Ok, that makes sense. I thought you were saying you had to buy the standard 5 yr 100K warranty.

I've seen mist. dealer supply K&N filter in their service department. So I guess it's okay for the warranty.
BTW I am using K&N filter currently, but just can't feel any difference.

If you start messing around and fit aftermarket parts you will void your warranty

It’s should say in the terms and condition that any person who is not authorised by Mitsubishi works on the car then the warranty will be void.

It’s a brand new car why do you want to fit a different air filter? the one supplied in your car is fine its be designed and tested to work in the car you brought, it won’t make any difference fitting a K&N anyway

In addition if you don’t have the car serviced when it should be that will also void you warranty

Do you really want to throw away $3000 by fitting a $20 filter?

Same goes for oil filters always use Mitsubishi one
