Outlander Silver Gauges

RE: Outlander Silver Gauges
I took the gauges out to see the bulbs.....They are just plain white bulbs with red condoms on them to make the gauges look orange.
I got replacement bulbs from Mitsu which had Blue Condoms.....they make the gauges look Greenish...which I like better than the orange.
I really hope they make El Gauges for the Outlander

Thanks JMC. My gauges (the clock and speddomeeter cluster) are from a New Zealand car. I am in Canada and wanted silver gauges. When I installed them they looked great but at night the main cluster didn't look right. You see the Canadian cars only come with black gauges. I initially thought that all the all the bulbs should be red with the silver gauages...but them discovered that the clock had blue bulbs. It is not the most resolved looking dash at night. Mind you the Jap/Australian car has a better dash all round as it has the shifter come out of the dash...
So...are the radio lights in the US model also blue? In other words is the speedometer the only gauge that is actually lit red from behind, with the clock being lit blue from the front and the radio being greenish blue?

RE: Outlander Silver Gauges
i have an 04: sped/tach came blue in stock form, but its most likely what JMC said about the bulb having the slip on it.
The radio, I think it was blue/green back lit. Ive replaced it and for got what they look like, ahah.
I was wishing for indiglos, or something a bit brighter in blue for the guages. I swapped out the interior dome bulbs with blues and hyper whites.
Now Im thinking how to get either another dome, door side lights (as seen on montero limited's rear passenger doors), or a few of those indivual spotlights to add to the mid and trunk sections.
I just took some pics today, hopefully posted by the weekend
