Default Outlander Sport Problems / Reliability Question

Hi, I am new here and I am wondering if I am alone or if there are others with similar experiences. I purchased a new 2013 Outlander Sport in November (here in Canada we call them RVR's). This was purchased brand new. It is now February, I have a total of 2166 KM on it, and I have had it in the shop already FOUR TIMES!!! First there was a defective relay, next a defective battery, then the heater died, it was repaired with a new heater harness, and now the blower died again. I thought that Mitsubishi was a reliable vehicle, I guess that I possibly got the worst vehicle on the planet for reliability. Has anybody else had reliability issues with the outlander sport (RVR)? I just want to know if I just got a dud, or if they are all like that.

You must have gotten one made on a Monday or a Friday! I think for the most part, there hasn't been widespread issues that I've seen on here.

That sounds a bit excessive... I would be complaining to the dealer / corporate about the inconvenience and so on... You might be able to get them to replace it.

On the plus side they have a really really long bumper to bumper warranty so you have quite a while to get the bugs worked out before you have to pay anything.

I have a few year older Outlander XLS and so far I have had no issues with it.

I don't know anyone who has an RVR though.

Sounds like a fluke. You just got the ****ty lemon. I'm sure every manufacturer has below grade cars every now and then

But in terms of the problem, sounds like you could have an alternator problem. Possibly over voltage. Could explain why you are burning out all these electrical components.

The wife bought a 2013 Sport last spring and so far there have been no issues. Think there is close to 13K miles on it now.
