Default Outlander Turbo upgrades?

Hi fellow Outlanders,

Just bought a low milage 2006 Outlander Turbo 5-speed, I´m a hp freak and started the Google search right away, ended up with a bunch of old threads, thought this was a popular car to tune.

My plan is to build a custom 3" turboback, AEM Dryflow in a custom box and EcuTek tune to start with but would love injectors, turbo and clutch upgrade in the future.
We have EcuTek and used Evo parts at my job, just need to figure out what´s mounted on the car from start, weak spots and common problems.

How about Evo turbos for example? Bigger? Bolt on? Front mount IC?

Thanks for a great forum guys!

What about the 4WD system, close to the Evo when it comes to parts? Strong?

Thanks!

1st gen Outlander has ordinary all-time 4wd with open center differential.
Evo has S-AWC - pretty complex system, including LSD front differential, Active Central Differential and rear differential with Active Yaw Control.
So, these 4WD systems have not much in common.

You will definitely need reinforced transfer case (even the stock Turbo Airtreks often break there) and maybe front Helical LSD.

Here are some links on tuning of Outlander/Airtrek Turbo:

Try Google Translate if your Russian isn't well enough

Thanks, great info! Knew about the AYC and stuff but had a small hope that gears would be the same as Evo.
Any clue if there´s a better transfer case on another model or do I have to go custom?

Will check the Russian forum, guess that´s my only option cause I can´t find companies or forums willing to touch this car.

Again, thanks!

Here is the topic regarding upgrade of the Outlander Turbo to 300-350HP using Evo parts.

Google Translate
However, you need to register there to see the links. That forum has an English interface too.
