Painted front air dam
Well I decided to paint the front dam silver like the xls. If anyone's interested, remove 6 screws and 6 plastic clips and the plastic piece slides right out. I gave it a quick sanding and primer then some silver paint with about 4 coats of clear that I hope will keep it from chipping. It appears the rear dam will be just as easy the whole thing is held with just plastic clips. I will give this a few weeks of driving to see how it holds up before i do the rear.

Well damn. I didnt think mitsubishi was that cheap its only some silver paint haha.
Oh and by the way it came out super clean. It looks factory. That is why I was so confused at first haha.

Plastic is a good material, and paint it silver to get that aluminum/chrome look. It's plastic for a very good reason. For safety reasons that is. Mitsu could have made it aluminum, then no need for painting, but that would lower their safety ratings then.
Yeah, Im interested in doing the rear of my XLS, I think it would look bitchin...
Just want to know what color you used, cause it looks like a pretty close match to the factory...
WOW, you really did a great job. Well done.
