I just had an awesome ride home from work. Its about 12 miles maybe 65% highway. My MPG based on the computer in the instrument cluster was 31.5mpg at 37mph. Post your best gas mileage rate so we can compare!

I've also seen the same......about 34mpg for a 15km trip. It's rare, but seems to happen when all the conditions are right.

I average 23mpg for everyday driving.

That's about what I usually get, both on the computer and when I do the old hand calc at the gas pump. And just as you said, about 60% of the way home I just knew this was going to be a good ride home.

Keeping to approx 45mph on main roads I regularly get 47 / 48miles per (UK)gallon. At 50 mph it drops to 40 mpg. Diesel is now about £5.90 per gallon in UKso when not in hurry it pays to have a light right foot !!!!

60 mph to 65 mph is the happy zone. When I do that I get a solid 30mpg.
