"wife and kids inside" ransom money!

I think all you people worried about being car jacked need to just move to safer locations where you don't have to worry about being car jacked, or hard wire a bomb into your car so when you get car jacked you and push a button to blow up your car and kill the car jacker!

Azn,

I'm not sure why you are being so contradictory towards everyone. The point is most of us would like to see this feature. Anyone have more info on it ?

Well, here is information about door's lock for Outlander 2007/2008... and Lancer 2008 that Mitsu Mexico offers. Part number is MMSM0089AA, and it has a cost of 1500 pesos (145 dollars), and as I said before, it's a simple relay. The parts department showed to me the accessory and it have a copy of the manual of installation, reason why I decided to make the installation by myself and I paid 18 dollars only.

So this relay is only for when the car is backing out of a spot, other than that it doesn't work?

>> Entonces este relay is solo para el retroceso del carro? si el carro va para adelante no funciona? no cierra las puertas?

Could you take a picture of where this relay lays exactly once it is installed?

>> Podrias tomar una foto de donde esta el relay localizado exactamente una vez instalado?

thanks

>>Gracias

Shambala, this is the explanation about how works the relay: when the shift handle moves of Parking to Drive, when gear through Reverse it sends a pulse to the relay and then the contact of the relay orders to close the door lock (only is a pulse); when return the shift handle to the position Parking, the doors lock is opened, but this last function is in the Out, only a reprogramming to the ETACS by dealer is required, or it is possible to be made through MMCS.
I will try to take a photo tomorrow. . .

Just lock the doors soon as you get in, its just a habit for me and have it set to automatic unlock when you get out, problem solved.
