I just recently purchased a new 2007 Outlander and I must confess that I am new to all the technology that the Outlander has.
I do have a question though, I have played around with the lights on the outlander for a few days now and I have noticed that during the day if I happen to go into a parking garage (where its dark), only the interior dash, climate control lights automatically come on. The gearshift lights do not illuminate automatically. Which makes shifting into gears difficult. Is this normal? When I manually turn the gear panel does come on.

 

Mine had the same issue before and had it checked at the dealership, now it's OK. It was a loose connection problem.
