Default A question about a motor

Can anyone tell me anything like history of this motor.

I looked all over the net to find one similar but keep coming it with nothing.

It is supposed to be from a 2009 outlander.

Cheers

Andy

According to the Outlander wiki this is a 2.3L 4N14 diesel

IIRC, the Outlander in the diesel version has two primary engines:
2.0L turbo VW engine = garbage and tons of problems
PSA (Renault-Citroen) 2.2 turbo engine = good

The Mitsubishi built one is fairly new, I don't recall of hearing about it before.

I would love to get the 2.2 diesel here...

Interesting.

It looks old, so I wondered if it was not a standard engine as used in outlanders.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who has one of these engines.

Thanks for your replies.

Doesn't 4N13 have a MIVEC badge on it?
