Question about Service Engine Soon Light
Hi, there! I bought my first Mitsubishi product YESTERDAY. It is a 2011 Outlander GT, Touring Edition. Approximately 33,000 miles. I am super excited. Absolutely love that it isn't as plain jane as the others in its class and the extra bells and whistles are a bonus! My question is: I was turning the key forward (not "on" or completely "over" just forward) to set up my Sirius radio free trial and when I glanced at the dash my Service Engine Soon light was lit up, my seatbelt light (as I didn't have it on) and my battery light was lit up. All of the other lights had went off. When I turned the key, no lights were on (except my seatbelt, still, haha). Is this worrisome that the brake lights and all of the others went off but those two remained? Or is that normal when you turn your key forward on outlanders? Sorry to sound so worried about something so minor but I drove so far to get this specific model and don't want to ignore something like that 24 hours later. Thanks in advance! Love this forum!

JKeaton, thank you so much! That makes me feel sooo much better! I've been getting flack for getting a Mistu and I'm not sure why. I absolutely love this car and the look of it. Everyone keeps telling me (I have a friend that's a mechanic) that my husband and I will have ridiculous repair costs and it has really been making this fun week of getting a new car stressful and worrisome. :/ I hope I can prove to them that they are wrong. lol
