Radio Fuse keeps burning out

Radio Fuse keeps burning out
I am lost and I need some help. My 2003 outlander was in an accident about two months ago. The other day, the car would not start and when I finally got it to start, the fuse on the radio burnt out. Everytime I replace the fuse with another one, it keeps burining out. Not only that, it makes the odometer (where it keeps track of the miles I am going), go back to zero and it resets the clock. I have changed the fuse several times and I do not know what to do now. Can someone please tell me what to do???

RE: Radio Fuse keeps burning out
Boy, sounds like a bunch of bad fuses.. When I go to Radio Shack I buy like 3 boxes.. 15 Fuses total.. But by the last Box I decide to find what is the real problem
I have to guess you have the main wire for power to the radio with insulation worn and rubbing against the frame or now pinched.
When it shorts, it resets other items that have the same connections.
Also look in areas where you might of poked into..
Maybe the repair shop dressed the wire wrong.. So check the harnesses around the radio.
Connect a 12 volt light in place of the fuse.. A short will make it light bright.. Pull the connector out of the radio and see if it dims..
If the connection is only for radio, it should go out..
