RearGuard Bumper Protector

Anyone used a RearGuard Bumper Protector in the UK on their Outlander? It fits onto the top of the lower tailgate to protect (well, covers and hides) the paint to stop scuffs and marks as you load stuff in.
Google it for details - Looks like it's UK product but they seem happy to sell overseas also. Anyone got something similar elsewhere?
Wondered how the fit was and how it looked as their website photos are of a Peugeot 4007 with the Lion and the 4007 'Paintshopped' out for the Outlander and the C-Crosser!
Mitsubishi UK will sell me either a peice of film (UKŁ18!) or a stainless steel plate (UKŁ121 not fitted!), the RearGuard (at approx UKŁ51 inc. shipping) seems better value than the steel plate and more robust than the film.

Mine came preinstalled at the dealer when I bought an 09 xls. It was only after a few months (I bought the vehicle in April of 09) that it started pitting. It's gone through 1 Winter here in Chicago, almost coming upon a 2nd Winter, and it's really become pitted. Has at least 60-75 small brown spots like rust all over it. I'm not very happy as it's quite noticeable. At least it's saving from getting scratches on the bumper I guess.

The ones available here in the U.S. at the auto dealership I doubt are stainless steel, unless I just got a bad one. Seeing that it was preinstalled along with the door sill plates and mud flaps, it should still be under the B2B warranty. I've had the vehicle for 17 months now and only have 11K on the odometer. Next time I go in for an oil change I'm going to have them take a look at it. The driver side window rattles like crazy as well. I'm going to have them look at that as well.
