I just called my dealer to see if my XLS was affected by this and by my VIN # it's not mine is a canadian model so I don't know if it only affect US model ? When speaking to the tech he mention that the only recall he heard for the 07 outlander was for a Fan Relay but I don't have more detail so If you guy's call to get Recall info on your outlander get them to check for the Fan relay one at the same time never know !

 

It's almost time for my first oil change. I should probably compile a list of things to ask them!! Thanks for the heads up.

 

I got another update today. It looks to be for Outlanders in Japan, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. See link below. I had checked on the ODI website, which records recalls for vehicles sold in the US, and there was nothing. ODI doesn't show any of the TSBs either?!?! If you have never checked out ODI, it has very good info for automobile shoppers / owners.

I just checked on the NHTSA web site and there is no recall info on 2007 Outlanders.

 

the outlander made for those countries are different look and style.

 

No, they are the same. Australian Outback

They have some different powertrain options such as turbo diesel with a manual transmission
