Default Remove armrest

Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to remove the armrest from any door of my 2010 Outlander LS? I am looking to change the upholstery of my doors from that factory-installed cloth finish to perhaps leather.

I tried prying the armrest hoping that it was held in place by clips or some sort but it did not lift off. (I didn't want to use much force for fear of breaking something...).

Thanks for any help or info.

The inside of the door is one whole piece, so you will need to unscrew the whole door from the inside to get at this (behind the door handle). There is a video for the Lancer online, I'm sure its virtually the same for the Outlander as well...the service manual isn't too specific and treats it as one whole part.

hi, im actually in the process of doing this, i also change the factory installed cloth on my 2007 LS seats with a customized factory fit leather seat cover. Anyone here knows how to remove the center console cover, having a hard time figuring it out, need to fit the leather cover for it as well.

Bringing this oldie back to life!

I just got a 2013 SE and want to do the exact same things... Change out door armrests and center console lid.

Searching online I can buy Mitsubishi factory leather parts (assuming from a GT) for about $100 each but I am not about to spend $500 on this mod.

I plan on pulling the center console lid off first and seeing if I can fab a piece of leather over it... Doubting this will go as planned so next step is to visit an upholstery shop and see what they can do for me.

Anyone have any tips or easier suggestions?

If/when I do this, I'll start a new thread.
