Default Removing OEM Rockford Fosgate Subwoofer

Has anybody removed the stock rockford fosgate subwoofer at the back corner? I'm thinking of removing it and get the stock panel to cover the hole. I need the space to fit my golf clubs : ).

1. Has anyone does it before?
2. Is it easy to do?
3. Will it affect the stereo and other speakers?

It's easy to do, and it will not affect the stereo or other speakers. The "only" issue you're going to have is a complete lack of bass! I could never live with that!

You have to unsnap the plastic cover at the top of the sub. Then you can remove the 2 bolts, disconnect the plug for the sub, and pull the enclosure/sub out.

I did that to make a place to mount my amp, and make my sub box easily removable when I need the space.

Wow, I can see why you would have a bass issue without a Sub!! I don't listen to a lot of music in the car, usually news radio channel or audiobook (yes I am boring...) so its ok for me.

Haha that's cool. I actually listen mostly to podcasts. If I had music blaring whenever I drove, I'd definitely have hearing loss. I just like to have the bass once in awhile.
