Default Rim size question

Hi everyone. I am interested in buying steel rims (used) for my 2007 Outlander. Right now my Outlander has the rims that came when I purchased it. I believe they are 16x6. For the past few seasons I have been mounting my winter tires on these rims. Now I have a chance to pick up a set of rims for 50 bucks. The rims are 16 by 16.5 Will my 215/70/16 tires that I already own fit these rims. The bolt pattern is proper, and according to sites online the rims will fit They came off a Buick Rendezvous. I'm just concerned about rim width, and what difference it plays. Thanks to all in advance for any help or advice you can offer.

The standard 16in alloy rims are 6.5in wide so no problem. I have 235/70/16 tyres on mine which replaced the original 215/70/16 so your tyres will be fine.

You need a couple of other specs to make sure they fit. The offset of the rim is important, as is the hub hole size. The outlander uses a 67.1mm center bore on their wheels, if buick's are smaller, they won't fit. The offset on the stock tires is 35 or 40mm( i can't remember which). If you are too far off on the offset the tire's will stick out or rub inside the wheelwell.

I was going to ask this question then I saw this..so we can put 235/70/16 on the factory 16 inch rims? Does that cause much change in the accuracy of the spedometer readings?

Can anyone recommend good 235/70/16 tires?

Thanks!

The 235/70/16 Tyres lift the vehicle about 14mm. No rubbing problems and according to the GPS the speedo is now spot on.
I am using Toyo Open Country and find them a lot quieter than stock Yokohama's. They grip just as well and even in the snow I had no problems. So far only done 7000k on them. no sign of wear as yet. Hope this helps.

I can confirm that the speedo is spot on with my 235/70/16 as well.
