I don't mean to hijack this thread but here is a couple pics of my wife's outlander with romik side steps. I wish i had known about the free parts/install.

i understand the bull bars and the skid plates....but why the side steps?
doesn't that just reduce ground clearance?
unless you guys live in the south and not have to worry about snow or have older ppl in the family.

 

I purchased our side steps mostly for our two daughters, 3 and under, and partly for my wife who a little vertically challeneged.
Plus my wife really liked the look of them.

when u buy the side steps, did it also come in stainless steel? because on the website of romik, the side steps for the outlanders are pictured in stainless steel colour. thanks

I just installed my Romik Stainless Steel Running Boards today/tonight... I'll have to take pictures tomorrow so you guys can see it. Looks great on with the dark blue color of my Outlander.

Forgot to mention... I bought them to accomodate my mom who will be living with us soon.. she's vertically challenged and needs a step up to the height of the Outlander (though it's just the right size for my wife and I). Also I bought them to help stop the "sandblasting" on the bottom of the doors (specifically the rear ones).

 

Please post some picture bluebastionwhen you get a chance. I'm looking at buying the romik stainless steel Running board too.Did you do the install yourself?
