Default Roof Rack

Well I dont know if the US will if ever get oem roof rack accessories, but as I was looking at the AU site (which includes a nice array of accessories that aren't available in US) I saw that the roof rack system that they use on the site is Thule products. I looked at their site and they have a decent selection for the '07 outtie. With the '08's coming out soon, Mitsu US might release some more oem accessories. I know there are other 3rd party brands where you can buy, but just thought I would through this out there.

There is an older roof rack discussion on the forum, but I guess that's OK - it's a hot topic.

There is a full list of accessories available for the 2008 models, available on the Canadian web site at this time. The accessories are the same for the US and Canadian models.

Sorry, living in colorado a rack with ski/board carrier is of interest with the season approaching.

I'd rather buy here in US. I'll check local dealer so see if any new accessories with '08 model out. Sweet canadian prices...

ive been scouting an aftermarket crossbars/ roof rack myself
IMHO, Thule is an excellent choice
if you walk into a Thule store theyll offer you the 450 footpack and crossbar combo (squarish black crossbars
but if you brows in the web, you can equip the outlander with the more sleek rapid aero combo (flattened silver crossbars)
both options fit the outlander although the 2nd one IMHO blends better with the silver roof rails of the XLS, and has a slightly lower profile

I just started the ordering process for the Australian crossbars (Rola). If all is good, they should get here by the end of the month. I will post pictures when I get them.

Excited!!! My crossbars are waiting for me at home. They just arrived from Australia. It took them about 10 days to get here, delivered to my door.
