RE: RRM underdrive pulley
its a mod that is pretty much useless, and often causes multiple problems.
despite what people think, you do not really save power. You mearly make all your accessories work harder, and benefit less from them. Almost every componant driven off the belt is variable in its load. So if they're turning slower, they must increase drag to overcome the loss of speed.
Example 1)the AC is variable displacement. if the pressures are inadaquate due to loss of compressor speed, it increases displacement to compensate. That requires more drag to turn. So you accomplish nothing.
Example 2)The alternator may have to full field to produce enough power at idle to compensate for the slower speed. Result: more drag.
etc.etc
not too mention the loss of the VERY important crankshaft damper.

RE: RRM underdrive pulley
Manybrews I see your point, however I was a proud owner of a Rallliart. Although I never bothered with this mod, my buds have and they are amazed at how much of a difference they feel from such an inexpensive mod. So how would you explain this? I would guess its notisable due to the car being lighter than the outi, not sure but I hear lots of good things about the pulleyfrom the guys at the evom forums who own ralliarts.

RE: RRM underdrive pulley
I have the same mod on my outlander. Installed acouple of months ago and love it. You can easily feel the power difference. And according to the rev meter, it rev acouple of hundred rpm lesser around what I'm used to which means that the engine is working . The only con I see with the RRM pulley is that when the car is at idle, the lightsare alittle dimmer...no biggie.

despite what you think, i love this mod... believe me, i do a lot of research before buyin it.
Did you ever try it? Or it's just what others tell you about? And i doesn't have any problems at all...
