Rubbing Sound
Ok last thread today I promise.
2016 Outlander SE, 136k miles. Last 3 months I hear what sounds like a rubbing/clicking noise only on acceleration. It seems to start about 30-35 mph and sounds like its coming from the passenger side. It seems like its to the speed of the tire rotation. I cannot hear it with the window down. Once the vehicle reaches 40 or above it tends to almost be spinning too fast to hear. It is not just when turning. It has gotten slightly more noticeable in the last few weeks. I had 2 people ride to try and hear and they did not the first time I heard it, but now its gotten a little more noticeable and they can hear it. Say it sounds like something rubbing but its almost like metal, not a rubbery noise. The only thing I have done recently to the tires is put new brake pads on and rotated the tires. Any ideas?
