Default Sat Radio on Canadian XLS

It seems that you cannot get Sirius Preinstalled on the Canadian 07 XLS with Navi.

Does anybody know if there is any way to get it to work like the US version. It's even in the instruction manual with an (If Installed)

I don’t want to get an external unit when I know you can get it integrated on the display.

Mitsubishi Canada and my dealer just tells me the navi sys is just not Sat Ready.

I’m sure there is another answer, a Switch, a hack, an module, something. Who makes that System anyway?

Thanks.

Sirius has been available to Canada since day one and actually reaches well up into northern Canada.

As far as not being satellite ready in our XLS's I too am looking for a solution. It would be great if someone with a US system who has or is taking their console off to check the Satellite module for any identification. Perhaps a US dealer would be able to instal a module on our Canadian models?

I was told by XM when I was cancelling my subscription in my old car that the only difference between XM and sirus was a little black box. It blocks out each others signals. He said I could easy swap the sirus box for the xm box and have xm in my outlander. I cant say this is true. He might of been trying to get me to just keep the XM account.

The only question I have is will the Canadian system recognize a module connection automatically or does it require a software update to recognize?

Also can any of the US owners tell me how the antenna is installed or where it is physically located?

Is it really a module? or is it a chip connected inside the Nav Unit?

I have notpulledit yet, what kind of connection are there behind there?

Is there a connector for Sat Radio? Sat Antenna?

Could you buy this unit aftermarket? Maybe we could find a tech manuel?

Isn't it the antenna on the back? I didn't see anything else.
