What is the error message?

I do not get any errors, only a blank screen as per my first post.

Not sure, it flashed so fast.

It was like a message which must have been on for a fraction of a second, then a progress bar indicating something was being updated but that two was pretty fast.

I suspect that after power has been cycled, the unit does some connected equipment testing and finally boots from the drive.

I would love to have a spare working drive to make a copy of.

I have been looking for a complete image to write to the drive with but cannot find one anywhere.

There's nothing special about HDD image, it is mostly maps occupying biggest part of it.

Try replacing your loading.kwi with this one:

Thanks,

I visited a dealer today to try a working HDD in the MMCS and it worked perfectly.

Now something strange: which only happened after fitting a good working HDD.

My HDD now boots up, the radio works and features work fine but running the GPS re-boots the system.

It seams that somehow the MMCS can part repair itself or the HDD.

What I suspect is there is no actual bootable partition on the drive, it is simply an menu system that is loaded from the media, as apposed to the O.S being in control of the MMCS or at least it seams like that.

I wonder if you could send me the files from every partition except the one containing Map data and music. The music appears to be loaded on a partition with AVUNIT

on wetransfer.com

I can PM you my email address.

Loading is OS.

Write loading.kwi I posted above and do a proper cold boot.
